So i've had my Paraguard IUD for 2 years and 2 months now and this is the first time i have ever felt the string so close. It has always been a full fingers length away but right now it's as close as the first link of my pointer finger. What the heck is going on why is it so close? 😰

Can you feel the plastic end of the iud above the strings, or just the strings? Also, do they feel longer than usual or just closer? Because yes your cervix moves up and down throughout your cycle month and even during sexual arousal. If you can also more easily feel your cervix, which should feel like a fleshy ball about the size of a marble, then I wouldn’t worry about possible expulsion of the device. But it you can feel a plastic stick in your cervix or the strings feel a lot longer than you remember, I would make an appointment to have them do a strong check.

Your cervix will move through your cycle and make the strings feel longer or shorter. I would curl them up as much as you can so they aren't hanging down
