Would you cancel a cycle with three mature follicles?

Question

I had an ultrasound today that shows I have three leading follicles around 13-14mm. We will do another ultrasound in two days in the hopes that one doesn’t keep growing but if they all do and we continue with IUI our risk of twins or triplets is much higher. We already spent almost $1000 on this cycle and really don’t want to start all over but also the thought of triplets is terrifying!

I didnt have to do IUIs, but I did use Femara and timed intercourse.  With my son, there were 3 mature follicles.  So after we got our BFP it was a little terrifying to know 3 was an option. But I have one son. After TTC for 20 months twins didn't sound bad and we would have made triplets work. I'm currently 15w6d pregnant with #2. Same meds. This time only 1 mature follicle. 
I would say- if you've made it to IUIs its worth the risk to have a family. Go for it and good luck!

I would keep trying. Just because you release more than one egg doesn’t mean more than one will get fertilized. Plenty of women release multiple eggs and in order to have multiples, the sperm has to burrow inside each egg at the same exact time cuz as soon as they do they release a hormone that makes the other eggs impenetrable.

I’d ask the dr what their recommendation is. I get you spent alot but if they split and you had 5 or 6 in there, then what?
