Anyone know what that could mean?

I’m impatiently waiting for my doctor to call me but i cant find anything similar on the internet!

I had an HCG of 4000 on 1/7

Started bleeding on 1/8

HCG went down to 900 on 1/12

Had labs yesterday 1/27 and they went back up to 2000!

(Weve only had sex once since i bled and that was just a week ago and with condoms)

I work in an ER so had a nurse friend look up my results and they said they had no idea what that could mean. As did a few other nurses and a doctor. Reassuring...

So just sitting waiting for the call from my OB this morning freaking out.

Anyone experience something similar???

UPDATE: doctor called and said they don’t know what it could be. So they’re scheduling an ultrasound. More waiting

And I miscarried naturally. I had an early ultrasound at like 5 weeks where they didnt see anything. Other than that I havent seen a baby or sack at all with this pregnancy. This is my 3rd miscarriage in a row.

UPDATE #2 - Doctor called me earlier. She said they didn’t see anything on the ultrasound at all. Empty uterus and tubes. She said shes even more confused now. Im doing another HCG and a new lab tomorrow to see if its possibly a lab issue.
