Cervical mucus

Has anyone ever gotten clear stretchy discharge before a period? I have only had this during ovulation. I’m not pregnant. I’ve taken two pregnancy tests in the past week and half and they both came back negative. I’m due to start tomorrow and feel some of the symptoms, but today when I wiped, there was clear shiny mucus on the paper. Like I said I’ve never had this any other time than ovulation or pregnancy.
