Advice

So I had my membranes swept today around 10:45am, I was 2cm dilated 75% effaced and at a -1 station. I have felt uncomfortable all day especially when walking, I was having some cramping and or minor contractions. My doctor said she feels really good about this working and that I may go in labor today/tonight but I'm starting to feel very discouraged because I haven't felt anything really since about 4pm and it's almost 6:30pm now. Do any of you have any advice or success stories and any idea how to help start things?
