How should I dress baby at home?

I’m a person who likes to be cold, just so I can cover with plenty of comforters. Now that baby is here I don’t mind sacrificing the cold. The problem is, I don’t control the heat in my place because I live in an apartment and it goes on and off whenever it wants to. The thermometer says my room temperature is 77.4 and I have her in a short sleeve onesie and a light sleeper. I can still feel a little drift coming in, enough to make ME want to cover in a light blanket. Do you think she needs a blanket or she can sleep with what she have on. I’m so paranoid that she’s either too cold or too hot and I don’t want to overheat my baby. Her body also feels warm when I touch it and her temperature is 98.4

I always was told (and follow) the rule that baby needs one more layer than I do.
So if I need a sweater, she needs a thick onesie and a blanket. I have always worried my babes were cold too though, so I feel ya on this mama

Baby will let you know if she is uncomfortable. I was always told to keep the room temp between 68 and 72 degrees, and dress my baby in a light footie and swaddle her in a light blanket then put a hat on her. But if your place is 77 degrees im sure you wouldnt need the hat, maybe just swaddle her. But like i said, too hot or too cold and she will let you know.

Just remember to check the baby. If the small of his back feels cold, add a layer, if warm- take off a layer.
