Pregnant... but no positive test?

Has anyone been/is pregnant and HPTs did not detect the pregnancy? I had sex during my ovulation week. I am on day 7 without having my period, but when I take a hpt, it comes out negative. I also took two urine tests at the doctor’s office,

*The second period in December is due to taking BC. This happened to me before a year or two ago, and my period still came on time after.

I have NEVER been this late. I have had blood work done, but I am looking for short term answers from you all until I get the results. Anybody had this happen??
