USPS workers allowed to do this?

Are they allowed to write in your mail? I’m annoyed because the woman who delivers the mail in my apartment complex literally circles my last name & writes question marks on it. I chose to hyphenate my last name when I married my husband but whenever I do get mail with only my maiden name she circles it and writes questions marks..... 😑 yet she doesn’t write question marks on my husbands last name. It’s happened a few times before and I let it slide but it’s clear that I live here & she still puts in the mailbox.
