Lesson learned

I’m always talking about how important communication is in a relationship. Yesterday was the perfect example for it so I just wanted to share.

Yesterday morning my boyfriend and I had a small argument then went silent. We both got over it soon after the argument. We ignored each other all day and barely said anything to one another and when we did speak it was very short mostly one worded replies. So here I was upset all day yesterday thinking he was mad at me. Later that night our cat did something funny and we both laughed and I watched him (while smirking) as he walked through our room. He sat on the bed and saw me looking at him and laughed then with a big smile asked what I was staring at. I started smiling and asked him if he was still mad at me. He told me he wasn’t even mad he thought I was mad so he didnt say anything either. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Once we found out neither of us were mad we apologized to each other, laid down, put on a movie, and immediately started cuddling. Then woke up this morning and started our day with some great morning sex😋

We went the whole day without talking because we both thought one was mad at the other instead of confronting the silence upfront. Needless to say I’ll definitely speak up sooner next time. Had we just talked like adults should we could’ve avoided the whole situation.
