Misoprostol

I found out last week I had a missed miscarriage, they sent me home to see if anything would happen naturally. A few days ago, I started bleeding heavily for a few hours and called as directed, went back in today and they confirmed my HCG was dropping but my body wasn’t moving along. They offered pills or D&C, opted for the pills and they gave me Misoprostol. My question is, what should I expect? The gave me the run down of how it works, but I’m just uneasy of everything and how it’s going to effect me both physically and emotionally. Any insight is appreciated!
