6.5 month throat congestion

Baby is getting over a cold and he still sounds congested but it sounds like it’s coming from his throat. How can I help him? We suck the mucus out of his nose a few times a day already. He also has a bit of a cough. The doctor saw him before the throat congested started and she said it was just a cold. He seems perfectly happy other than the congestion. No fever or anything. I just wanna help the little guy.
