Ultrasound technician anyone?

Today I had an ultrasound and she mentioned my baby’s neck and told me it might indicate that my baby might have Down syndrome. I told that how a baby’s neck at this week looks. I am 13 weeks and 1 day. Is there any technician that can explain.

Did they recommend follow up genetic testing? If not, I would call and ask about it!

They measure the thickness of the skin fold behind the nape of the neck.

I believe they are measuring the fluid around the neck.

They measure the thickness of the skin on the neck it should be 3 inches or less at 13 weeks if it’s thicker than that it’s an indication of downs.
