Pregnant while on thyroid replacement meds
Hello! I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer about 5 years ago and had my whole thyroid removed. I’ve been on Tirosint to regulate my thyroid levels ever since. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in the fall and my endocrinologist thought it could have been related to my elevated TSH. At that point, we were checking it every 2-3 weeks.
I am now currently 6 weeks pregnant and my TSH continues to increase despite increasing my Tirosint dose. I am having labs checked weekly with this pregnancy but I’m so nervous that my levels now are rising even faster than the first pregnancy. Has anyone experienced this too and have any advice? My doctor is wonderful and I trust her, but I’m just looking for other ideas or suggestions.
Thank you!
