dr browns bottles?

Question

moms who have had previous babies, 
would you recommend the dr browns bottles? 
my aunt has given me quite a bit of them. I have never used them with my previous child, so I'm a little intimidated by them to be honest. they are used...so I plan to throw them in the dishwasher and sterilize them. 
****do you recommend the dr browns bottles 
AND do you recommend using used bottles??

With my son I used Dr. Brown bottles. Loved them. They didn’t leak (you have to make sure you don’t fill bottle past the line it says to stay at) except the one time I filled past the line thinking it wouldn’t matter. They did help with colic as my son was super colicky. The only think I hated was the extra pieces to wash.
With my daughter, she wasn’t colicky so I decided to use the Nuk brand because I didn’t want to wash “two extra parts”... I HATED them. Actually stopped using them and just kept breast feeding which is what I did until she turned one. 
With this baby, I’ll be using Dr. Brown again. 
Oh, and I would not use used bottles.

Ours leaked within two weeks. I refused to pay that much for leaky bottles. We use NUK Simply Natural and love them. She won’t take any other bottles.

I really liked them. I used them with both babies and yes they have more parts to clean but my babies never had stomach issues. Don’t fill them pass the line or they will leak but if you follow instructions they will be great.

I wouldn't recommend them, the bottle ended up leaking and so hard to clean.

I liked them. My son never had issues with them. We tried every single bottle almost and that worked the best! If you get used bottles just sanitize them very well and REALLY clean them. I would buy new nipples though.

I hated Dr browns bottles. They always leaked and I hated having to clean so many parts for one bottle. My daughters favorite bottles are just the cheapies from Wal-Mart that are like 98 cents. Also I see no problem with using used bottles as long as they're sterilized first

My son and I loved them! They helped A LOT with gas...and cleaning was not that bad...it’s easy to lose the parts though

I agree with everyone else,  I hate them. They are difficult to clean, I've yet to find a bottle brush with a small enough attachment to actually get in them good.

My kids hated them and they are a pain in the butt to clean. The advice I always give is to wait to buy bottles until baby is here. Buying 1-2 from different brands is fine, but wait to stock up until you are sure about what baby likes. My boys were NICU grads and never took to any bottles other than the cheap Gerber nipples the hospital used. We were out a lot of money.
