How did your babies handle getting their flu shot?

Do you regret doing it? How did they act after? As someone who stopped getting their flu shot at 14 I stopped getting the flu entirely so I don’t quite believe in getting one. I don’t know wether or not I should have him get one or not seeing that flu season is basically over for in our state.

The flu shot is to protect against the respiratory aspect not the stomach flu. The respiratory flu can kill people especially those who are high risk (babies, elderly and pregnant). 
If you get sick after getting the flu shot chances are it was norovirus which means it had nothing to do with the flu shot.  The flu shot does not protect you from getting a stomach virus/flu.
Getting the flu shot means you are protecting yourself and those around you from getting gravely sick, just because you haven’t gotten influenza previously does not mean you are free and clear.

My LO received his flu shot at 7 months and had a 101-102 fever for about 24 hours ... after that he was back to normal . It was his first time having a fever so it was pretty rough on the both of us

My LO got the flu shot at her 6 month appointment and had no reaction. The flu season hasn’t really started here in NY yet, so definitely wanted her protected. The flu is sooooo awful to get as an adult, would not want to see my little lady getting it!

Who you rather risk her dying from the flu?? My daughter didn’t react at all from it. I do not get the shot myself but if something happened to her I would never forgive myself.

My son did great this time.  Hardly cried at all and not a lot of aftereffects at all. We always get the flu shot in our family never had an issue

I'm holding off on the flu shot until he is one..he just got his 6 month shots and it always effects him..he was not himself for 2 days..crying and fever. My older one who is 4 did get his flu shot and as for me not now.

My boy got a very high fever (103.2) but we controlled it with Tylenol. Otherwise, he did perfectly fine.

My lo got hers with her regular 6-mo shots. She's never had a reaction to any of her shots and this round was no different. While my husband and I have received the flu shot and I'm a sahm so she's not exposed to many other LO's, I didn't feel like risking it. Her booster is in a few weeks and I don't expect her do to anything but get upset over it, per usual.

Our LO got her flu shot with her six month vaccinations and didn't have any reaction. Not sure whether it made a difference that we are EBF and I got my flu shot in the fall, but she didn't even have a hint of a fever.
