Today, my appointment was oddly interesting compared to my previous appointments. Ok, I went to my first prenatal appointment without my fiancé for the 1st time, I got asked those weird questions by a nurse. Btw, I had to leave my ring at home since the diamond is kinda loose and I didn’t want to use it in a fear it might fall out outside. Anyways, that nurse asked me “let’s talk about your sex history, how many sexual partners do you have?” I was like ..........😐 “ummm, just only one which is my fiancé....” and she went “oh, hmm, okay. So, do you want to take an STD testing?”.....wtf??? No, there’s no need for it. But compared to my previous appointments in last year when I was pregnant (later miscarried), my fiancé was there with me and I never got asked those questions! It’s boggling my mind how without my fiancé at my prenatal appointment can really changes their perception of me. It’s not that I’m offended or anything. I just find it interesting how the society is with that kind of mindset. Did that happen to you?
