Am I stingy or is he annoying?

So here’s my predicament-

My boyfriend says “I wanna take you to dinner!” So I’m like sweet!

He picks me up from work, and he’s like where do you wanna go, and I say “whatever you want!” I picked last time. So he’s like, “something cheap”. And I was like okay that’s fine.

We go to pizza.

I order one slice, he orders two slices and a soda.

The total is 9 dollars.

He asks how we should split it. And I’m like, “oh I don’t have my card on me” (I thought he was paying).

Then he says, “ohhh you don’t? how bout you just get lunch next time?”

We are at school the week after, and he comes up to me and is like “I’m headed to lunch” (I had packed my own). And I was like “okay”. Then he says “I thought you were buying. And I was like “oh, oh yeah.” And he asks for 10$. And I’m like, “uh, okay”. So I give it to him, and he goes to eat out.

He buys me food a lot and I owe him money sometimes. But he bought me a 3 dollar piece of pizza when he said he was taking me out to dinner, then wanted 10$ in return. I didn’t even go to lunch with him. I’m kinda upset. Am I being stinger or is he being annoying?
