What’s your baby shower budget ?

Question

My budget is $2,500 . around 70 guests. 
I’m having an open bar brunch that includes everything but decor. The staff sets it up but I would have to find my own vendor for the centerpieces. 
I’m wondering if $2,500 is a reasonable amount for a baby shower of this size. 
(I decided to go with this venue since I wouldn’t have to do anything but show up and approve the set up)

Like $200? Its a baby shower, not a wedding. I dont think they need to be extravagant. Just a place to eat some food, play some games and give you gifts. Its normally done at someone's house. If you want to go all out, by all means. I'm sure it'll be fun, but its really not necessary to be THAT big. Unless you want it to be.

Lmao none of these. This isn’t a wedding and I’d rather spend money on my baby. Mine will be in my mom’s backyard. Why are people going all out these days? It’s ridiculous.

We’re having a potluck with friends and family. My house is the location otherwise it would have been a restaurant space. I’m not interested in planning a shower that takes as much thought as my wedding. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I want to keep mine under $300... even that is A LOT for a baby shower. $2500 could get you SO much stuff for the baby. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We’re just renting out a room in a restaurant 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not an extravagant person and having a baby is expensive enough, but I’m not the one throwing it so idk the budget

I don’t even think mine was $100. Why waste so much money that could just go directly towards stuff for the baby? Makes no sense.

We spent like $150 on everything and had a lovely time. We made the food ourselves 🤷🏻‍♀️

Let me start by saying I’m thankful for all your input, that being said, I’d like to correct a few assumptions. 
I live in Lower westchester NY , so an outdoor shower at the end of March is not an option, because of the cold. 
I have a huge family (my husband is one of 11 , my mother is one of 12, father is one of 11 , im lose to all of my family ) so cutting down the guest list is not an option either. 
I know that venues in other states are much cheaper but the lowest you can find in lower westchester NY is $42 per person not including drink. Understandable considering the cost of living here is much higher than most other states. 
Please take all of this into consideration before making assumptions. Thank you
