I don't think it's always that you fall out of love either. I think people feel that way when the honeymoon phase is over and they either end it or they learn that love is a choice and you have to work for it once the hormones are gone from the honeymoon phase. I think that's what happens to a lot of people who "fall out of love"

Love is a choice that sometimes has to be made even on days that you don’t “feel” all lovey dovey towards your SO. how do you think people are married for 50+ years.... you don’t always like your SO but you have to decide daily that you will love them regardless of how much they may piss ya off. There definitely are a lot of days that you will feel that lovey dovey, comfortable feeling with them though. 😊

When I "fell out of love", it was because his belittlement, cheating, lying, disrespect, and gaslighting killed my love.
