Who do you go to if sick (bronchitis) OB or PCP?

I usually call my OB first, but I don’t have a PCP, so I have to go to urgent care if something is wrong. I thought I had strep and my OB handled it.

My PCP won’t see me while pregnant. 😩

I just call my OB. Every single time I have been sick during this pregnancy, he is wayyyy more proactive than my PCP. I don’t even need to come in for an appointment, I just call and let him know my symptoms and if I could get something called in. He usually calls back we talk about my symptoms, length and severity and calls something over right away. 
My PCP on the other hand drags her feet. With my first pregnancy she wouldn’t issue medication unless I had been sick for 14 days already. So I basically sat there and suffered until things got horrible. She always seemed hesitant to prescribe any medication and her solution was always cough drops, staying hydrated, hot tea with lemon and honey, sleep, and relaxation.  So because of that experience, this pregnancy my OB handles all my illnesses and it’s been a breeze.

PCP since they are your actual doctor for that sort of stuff. And then if you are concerned about what you’re prescribed, call your Ob to ask if the medication is okay to take. I usually just email my Ob to let them know I was seen, what I was prescribed, etc., since they usually ask me every appointment anyway

PCP then I call my OB to make sure I can take what is prescribed. 
Took 2 times being sick before I realized it’s easier to do it that way.
