Why are bassinets so ugly and pricey??

I need advice. I’m building registry and baby needs lists and every “big” thing I want to purchase on my own. If anyone chooses to come to/throw me a baby shower, I’d like them to not feel responsible for pricey gifts.

I already have a pack and play, rock and play AND crib - but..bassinet ?? I know a lot of mamas skip them and use pack and plays but...it just seems so damn uncomfortable to me 😕 I want to get my baby a bassinet - I’m pretty certain on that

But WHY OH WHY are they alll so ugly and expensive? They’re tacky imo - and idk what direction to go. I’m definitely not spending money on one like a Halo, talk about expensive..lol, I just need suggestions. Any ones you like? I’d like to find one that rocks/vibrates/something to help soothe baby.
