How can I encourage my daughter to talk ?

My baby is 13 months and she hardly talks😢
She has said mama,dada, and bye bye repeating after us. Only word she says is ball. We speak two languages at our household and she seems understand well. Some of my friends says I shouldn’t be worried till 2 years old but I’m SAHM and have been feeling pressure from in laws.

It’s pretty normal for her too say just a few words at that age. You should look up Carters Corner on YouTube. She’s a youtuber with a 2 year old with amazing vocabulary. And explains really good on how she taught him. Don’t stress out too much on it also!

Best way to encourage a child to talk is by constantly talking, reading and singing. The more she hears you, the more she will pick up. Also limit electronic use like tv, tablet and phone since it has been shown to delay speech if children get a lot of screen time

When exposed to more than one language, kids take longer to speak. when they do speak they use both languages. Also, they already understand both languages before they begin to talk. Don’t stress it, it’s just more language that they’re processing. My girl is 14 months barely says any words but understands in English and Spanish

My son turned two in December and is just now making his own little sentences. His pediatrician says it's completely normal, some children don't actually talk until closer to 3. I wouldn't stress so much, but I honestly just talk to my son about everything. Even if he doesn't completely understand what I'm going on about lol. It's helped a lot.☺

My mother didn’t talk at all until she was well over 2 years old! 
She has a genius IQ and could read at age 4... like full books! 
She thinks she just didn’t want to talk 🤷🏼‍♀️ they checked her for everything and nothing... just was a silent toddler!

My kids really did start to talk till two. They mostly talked like cave men. One word demands lol. But the dr recommend me not giving them things they pointed to. Rather then me try to make them say the name first. But seriously she’s one. There’s not supposed to be reading out of the dictionary. With my last child they were making a big deal of him not talking. I know all the rules have changed since my first. There 13 years apart. But I’m like this isn’t my first Rodeo and he is fine.  By two he would be quiet for second a real motor mouth. I’m like I remember when he didn’t talk. 😂

My nephew speaks English and Spanish. He didn't speak a word till he was 3 years old and spoke both in full sentences. He recently went in for an interview for a school and they said, say 5 words. The teacher called his mom and said he failed he only could say 3. Well, it turns out he said 3 in English and 6 in Spanish. But she thought it was gibberish. So, he is smarter than his teacher. Lol. It'll come mama! Don't panic!
