IUD risks

Hello! I've recently heard something about the IUD potentially damaging the uterus enough that having children was no longer possible. it concerned me, because I'm only 20 and I've had it for about two years and would love to have children in the future. Does anyone have information on that or a place where I can get information on that issue?
