So my fiancé works out of town and I’m 36 weeks pregnant... this time he’s about 5 hours from home and gone for a week. So it was my shower today and he called me as I was on my way home after a loooong day of being up at 6 am and not being home until 7pm. And he was fricken slurring!? Turns out that their job got shut down in the early afternoon and they all sat around drinking and watching the Super Bowl. WTF. How the hell are you supposed to drive home in an emergency if I end up having to go to the hospital to have your baby. I don’t ever hear from him all day which is normal and then he takes like 30-45 mins to text me back. He did this about a month ago and went out until 2 am with his friends after he told me he would be home at 10.

This isn’t the norm at all from him but maaaan its really hard to give him some slack when I’m still shovelling the snow, working full time, entertaining both of our families all day, taking care of the dog and everything else. Just so he can ‘go to work’ which ends up being getting paid to chill with the boys drinking and watching football??? And let’s be honest, with a baby on the way there isn’t a ‘break’ in sight for me for a long time.
