How long did it take you to get over your first relationship?

I’m frustrated with my self because it’s been almost five months since I first split with my ex boyfriend (I asked for us to go on a break and then he didn’t wanna get back together (ouch) ) and I still don’t feel like ive really moved on. I’ve dated someone in the meantime but ended that because I knew it wasn’t fair on him or me because I just kept comparing him to my ex. The relationship turned pretty negative at the end but I just keep thinking about all the happy, cute parts.
How long did it take you to get over your first relationship? If anyone had any advice I’d really appreciate it ♥️

I know how you feel, it’s been 4 months since I broke up with my first love. It was hard, but he was emotionally abusing me , I’m probably still not over it, but i have hobbies to keep me occupied

I know how you feel, it’s been nearly year since me and my ex been together and I still think about him sometimes , but then I realise the reasons why we broke up , the bad days I had with him, the argument ,this then makes me think of him as a bad memory. Also you should start doing things you enjoy ,that keep you happy and excited..go and have fun , helps u stop thinking of the past ,,,, and ofc You loved him , there’s always going to be a part of you that still will, Just realise you have better things to do then waste ur time missing and thinking about someone who didn’t want you in there life
