Surprise!

My little girl was two weeks early. I went to the hospital at about 10 AM leaking amniotic fluid. I was 5 cm dilated and having mild contractions. They admitted me and decided to give me pitocin because my labor wasn't progressing. Once I reached 7 1/2 cms, I got my epidural which was honestly the most painful part of the whole experience. I labored for awhile and was shocked when they told me it was time to push, I felt pretty relaxed. After about 6 pushes, Amelia Lakshmi Nambiar was born at 4:06 PM on July 30th, 6 lbs 14 oz, 20".
