Size up in diapers?

This is the third time my baby’s poop has leaked out of his diaper from his back. It’s only when he poops a lot. Is gets all over his back and clothes. And I see the yellow from his pee on the front of his diaper and that gets extremely soaked and heavy. Im a FTM. Does this mean he’s ready for a size up in diapers???

Baby will have poop blow outs from time to time which has nothing to do with the size of the diaper - they just happen, lucky us. Generally, it’s time to size up when baby wets through the diapers consistently. I’ve always sized up with my kiddos when their sleepers are consistently needing to be changed through the night due to wetness. I just use up the last of whatever size we are in during the day time and order the next size up and go ahead and make the switch for night time.

My baby was having like two to three blowouts a day! I went up a size and now they are MUCH less frequent, like once a week!
