Ovulation not day 13/14?

Is it more common than not to not ovulate on the predicted 13/14 day? I was not testing ovulation last month but we tried my whole fertile week and no luck. This month I have been testing every day and still no LH surge. Thinking I just ovulate later than expected?

Also, test twice a day. I rarely get a true positive because for me it’s a short timeframe. Also, today I tested four hours apart—the first was very faint and the second almost positive. It can change quickly and if you’re testing just once a day there is a good chance you’ll miss it.

How long is your cycle? Take that number and minus 14 from it...that is your estimated ovulation day. Exp...28 days, ovulate around cd14..... 31 days, ovulate around cd17.
