So me and my bf are both 14 and we have a serious relationship and have been together for 6 months, but we want to have sex. We have protection but I’ve been told to wait till I’m older... do you guys think it’s a bad idea? When did you guys lose your virginity?

I was 20. But I waited until I found the right person to share that experience with and we’re still together. I’m glad I waited and I’m glad I don’t regret who I lost my virginity to. I love him and he was gentle and caring and supportive and slow and didn’t rush me into anything.

Personally, I think you should wait. I lost mine at 15 and given the chance I’d probably have waited a bit longer. Only due to the fact I didn’t fully understand all the risks. I didn’t have a plan B in case things went wrong. I was very lucky!

I know the age of “being ready” varies but please wait. There are so many other things you can do with a partner to enable a strong, healthy fun relationship that dont include sex and if you feel as though without sex your relationship isnt that great, then youre not ready :(

I know you might feel like you want to, I did too but i lost mine at about 15 when I THOUGHT I was ready. Now I’m with my current boyfriend and I wish more than nothing that I would’ve waited.

I was 14 when I lost mine, but I wish I would have waited. Everyone has there own journey so no one knows when it’s right except you, but I’m guessing since youre on here asking then you’re probably not too sure about it so my advice is to wait. Preferably itd be someone special who you share it with, you don’t have to spend the rest of your life with him but it should be something you always cherish and look back on fondly.

I lost mine at 14 and honestly i was wayyy too young.. I thought i was in love and going to marry this guy. I was wrong lol just take your time, if hes the right one he will wait however long

I finally broke my virginity at 21 and I feel like there is no right person to begin with. Just enjoy life and you'll know it when you feel like it. And if you were to ever have sex, please practice safe sex
