I finally managed to pick up a heartbeat on my home Doppler. My ob/gyn never measured the heart rate. I was wondering if anyone knows how to calculate it?

I tried my best listening to the heart beat and counting the beats in 5 second intervals. I got roughly 168. 
But don't hold me to it. 
(I counted 14 beats in 5 seconds, 60second divide by 5 secs gave me 12. I took 12 and multiplied it by 14. Giving me roughly. 168ppm )

Answer

Count for 6 seconds and multiply by 10 aka add a zero to the end of the number. Easiest way to get a rough number of beats per min.
