In office “scraping” after miscarriage ?

Hi, has anyone ever had your OB do a “scraping” after a miscarriage? - I miscarried using misoprostol on 1/18- my levels then we’re over 200,00. I since then have gone down to 500. My doctor said I have two options, I can wait for it to drop naturally which can take a month or come into her office where she will do a scraping to get rid of the rest of the tissue- just wondering if anyone knows anything about this or had t done?

@Petra sorry my comment won’t post on yours for some reason! : this is what I was trying to add - 
When I took the misoprostol I had the extreme cramping about four hours after I took it and then didn’t really start bleeding until the following day. Then about three days later I had the same terrible cramping and it ended up being that I was passing the sac. I bled for about 9 days total. Do you know if you passed the sac yet? My OB did tell me that if I didn’t pass the sac the first time she would give me another round of the pills because she didn’t recommend a D&C.

I started the misoprostol on Saturday, and I’m still getting some bleeding, and i started cramping again. I wanted to ask how was your experience ? My doctor also told me that she would do a d&c if there was still tissue stuck. But I’m so nervous and worried. I’m suppose to see her Thursday.

You won't be awake it's a dnc, she will scrap the inside of your uterus to remove any remaining tissue.  You will wake up fine, but will need to wear a pad, not a tampon to prevent infection
