Pushing was a relief for me both times.

IMO they’re both the same as far as pain goes but in different ways. The contractions can be intense, but that ring of fire is no joke! Labor with my first was longer (11 3/4 hours including 1 1/2 hours of pushing) and the contractions were uncomfortable but totally manageable the whole time. Labor with my second was 4 1/2 hours and the contractions were crazy intense! Both of my babies were born at home but I remember thinking during my second labor that I wasn’t going to make it if I had to deal with contractions like that for 8 more hours. Luckily shortly after that my water broke while I was puking and my son was in my arms 5 min later.

Contractions during transition. Early/active labour was manageable (I was walking around at the farmers market haha) and once I started to push it was so much relief. 
Transition sucked though.

Healing afterwards for me. I was inducted with both, but even at 5cm dilated the contractions were only mild. I opted to get the epidural in case it would be too late later! Glad I did

Contractions by far. I was induced with pitocin and holy balls. Pushing was a huge relief. Like if I could skip contractions and just go right to pushing, I'd do it a thousand times over.

Haven’t had my second baby yet but first one I didn’t have vaginal either but I know In hell them contractions is not a damn joke!
