Should it matyer if you're inlaws have no reaction to the fact that you're pregnant ?

It's really sad, told them on Monday night over a family dinner. My parents are ecstatic, however my in-laws don't give a damn. They're just not showing any emotion at all !!!

In laws 🙄 amirite?!  My MIL told me “I’m too young to be a grandma” when we told her.   She was about 70 at the time... we told them with a box of baby supplies and called it the “grandparents survival box”.   At my shower,  guess what my gift from her was... the box and the things WE bought for them.

I could careless about my in-laws. They’ve already shown they’re awful people who only care for themselves. How they managed to have a son who is the complete opposite astounds me. Because  my husband is nothing like them 
We didn’t even bother telling them I was pregnant this time. Just let them see it on Facebook   My mil is always on there about her “beautiful grand babies ” and she’s never even bothered to meet any of them. Just comments on Facebook pictures 
Don’t let it bother you. If they aren’t excited well then good riddens   It’s them missing out

You're assuming that because they're not showing emotion that they don't give a damn. I don't know them, but not everyone shows emotion. Especially if you told them early. My parents didn't really react either but in the end they bought us baby gear, hosted a sip n see etc. Maybe it's just a lot to take in right now, or they're not emotionally expressive people, or you're early so they have a "wait and see" mindset.   So unless they flat out said something rude, I don't think it's good to jump to a huge conclusion that they don't give a damn because they didn't outwardly express emotion.

Yea mine didn’t even congratulate me on my second one.... haven’t even asked about the baby. I was hurt at first but I’m just aggravated. My mil already gets on my nerves so this is just icing on the cake. I’m sorry it happened to you! Hopefully yours will come around

My parents would have that same reaction so that's one of the many reasons why at 19 weeks they still don't know I'm pregnant.
Unless they hear it through a grapevine they won't know until the kid is here and probably a few months old or more.
It is a major disappointment. I'm sorry that was their reaction.

Maybe they’re just in shock. My in laws weren’t “excited” when they found out. They kinda took a moment to process, then my FIL said congrats and gave hugs while my MIL zoned out basically. Thought she might pass out. Not actually sure she said congrats, but she expressed concern for if we were ready-which this was very much planned.
By now at 39 weeks they’re totally on board and excited. They came and cleaned our apartment, bought nursery furniture, got me a monogrammed tote bag/diaper bag, they even speculate about the sex and if I’ll go early!
It took a little time since they were caught off guard, but things are great and they are excited now. Try giving it some time :)

My MIL told me that “she was praying for a boy this time because she thinks we’d benefit from one” what the hell does that mean?  I have a beautiful daughter, and honestly were hoping we have another girl.

First baby they were more I guess excited and the last two times nothing especially this time. Which I dont care at all honestly.  We dont go visit them often as we used to and my hubbys mom has maybe asked 3 ?s my entire pregnancy and due in April. In all honestly I don't want them to know anything and they barely ask about our kids.
