Medicine issues

So me and my husband are both prescribed Adderall. I take mine as prescribed and it helps me. He doesn’t always take his as prescribed meaning most times he takes more. Obviously this is an issue and I don’t approve. He knows it’s wrong and doesn’t like how it makes him want to drink which has also been a problem. He recently quit drinking, smoking, and using his medication, but I still take my Adderall. He wants me to get off of mine because he said he can’t be around it without wanting to take it and taking it makes him want to smoke and drink at night. I don’t think this is fair but then I’d do anything to help my husband. Thoughts, opinions, advice??? Thanks.
