Hello Ladies!

So my MIL and I don’t have the best relationship. She’s passive aggressive, I’m not. Last year I confronted her and that is when most of our issues arose. Anyway since I’ve been pregnant her and her mother were very rude when we stayed at her house for two months. Asking me “How did You really get pregnant” “Did you know what birth control is” and other inappropriate questions. (We’ve been married for two years)

Anyway, Since we’ve moved (a whole 15 minutes away) my MIL barely talks to me. She will text my husband saying “I miss you.” “Hope to see you soon” And “thinking of you” but nothing ever to me or specifically about her grandson.

Two weeks ago I was hospitalized for 2 days and they thought they were going to have to deliver our son. My aunt came to the hospital to check on me, friends phoned asking if they could do anything, bring anything, etc. I was put on Bedrest for the remainder of my pregnancy, moved to high risk with twice a week monitoring.

My MIL texted a group message to us and asked how we were doing about two days later. Then after texting to “check in” she informs us she has mail and Christmas gifts from a relative and if she can MAIL them to us...from 15 minutes.

Nothing like “can we do anything to help?” “Is there anything you guys need” nothing.

I’m just so over this. She hasn’t offered to get the baby anything (her ex has), barely mentions him at all, and overall is pretty much uninterested.

What do I do?
