Craving Protein Like Crazy
First pregnancy. I’m 6W4D. Found out shortly after 4W. And the craving for meat/protein is insane and consistent.
I can’t get enough eggs, red meat, cheese, bacon, pork, you name it. I’ve never been a huge fan of white meat before but even now I crave chicken and turkey. I crave chili and tacos non-stop. I feel like it’s all I’m eating any more. And nacho cheese/queso dip. Obviously very heavy on the protein.
Is this normal? I’ve always been borderline anemic my whole life so I wonder if this is my body just trying to make up for it. My husband’s family are die hard meat eaters, as am I. My girl friend who is due just days after me is having a total aversion to ANY kind of meat and swears her baby is a vegetarian. I’m thinking mine is a cannibal.
I’m also really worried I’m gonna turn out like Phoebe with three babies.
