Update/Add:
Well I did not have a crazy birth story but here is mine. Wednesday 2/6/19 I went to bed timing contractions. Very spread out 35-45 minutes apart. But let me tell you that even though I have a high pain tolerance I was cringing. Thursday 2/7/19 comes and I’m excited but nervous because I’m going in to see my doctor. I’m hoping he tells me I’m dilating but at the same time I’m getting nervous that I’m going to be in labor soon. Well I go in with contractions sticking to a pretty consistent 20 minutes know and fully packed our bags. I even kissed our 2 little ones at home a little extra in case the doctor sent me straight to the hospital. So I’m at the doctor and I’m finally being checked and honestly was a surprisingly exciting feeling as I had not been checked before. He looks at me and says well this could go 1 of 2 ways. You could go into the hospital now and wait it out or go into the hospital tomorrow morning and I’m on call and will get this baby rolling. I must have had a omg wtf face because he chuckles and says you are at 5cm. I’m like yay but omg this is happening! I opt to go home and wait out this labor as much as possible. Well I spend the day with kids and pre register at the hospital (still contracting) also went to dinner with my family. They all said I looked miserable and I felt it! My kids spent the night with their aunt and grandparents and I went home with my fiancé. What do you know?! I lay down and the next thing I know it’s almost 3 am 2/8/19 and I slept the whole time. Where did the damn contractions go?! I finish sleeping until 6:20 am when my fiancé’s alarm goes off and I’m up and moving. Now I’m getting frustrated. No more contractions! :( I’m like no way! I’m going into the hospital and having this baby one way or another no option! We get up grab last minute things I do some cleaning around the house and my fiancé even changed the oil in our Tahoe to make sure our car was in tip top shape. I’m working on getting these contractions going. We finish everything and get in the car and we are laughing about the difference between our first, the second & the third kids lol. First I spent half the day in the hospital because my mom was terrified I didn’t feel contractions and didn’t want anything going wrong. The second my water broke in the middle of the night. And this one he changed the oil and we are stopping to get gas before we go to the hospital. It really does change every time. I got checked in and I had not progressed. 😳 I’m like no way! They call the doctor and he comes by and says we are getting this party rolling. I’m admitted. I had group b strep so I had to have antibiotics before he could break my water. So I am laying there with my ivs (antibiotics and pitocin). She comes in about 2 hours later (minor checks between) and I’m only to a 6! I’m like wtf?! So we up the pitocin and there was a csection about to happen next door so I opted for the epidural at 6cm instead of the 7 like I had before. It worked nicely and I could not feel a thing. Time goes on and I’m finally to a 9.5-10 and I’m begging for my nurse to come in because my body is saying push! I push for about 15 minutes where I also had to pop my water again as it only partially popped before all before my doctor comes in and he talks me through getting my little guy out. I pushed for about 10 more minutes with him and my little guy was born! I was so happy I got to hold him before he was cleaned and then I realize the doctor is still messing with down there. So they take little guy to clean him and I’m bugging the doctor. Did I tear? He answers no and I’m ecstatic! Third time is the charm! Lol! Then he gets the placenta out and we find out it tore during labor. They had been trying to figure out why I was bleeding so much before. With finding that out I had to have more blood work done to make sure my levels were still fine. Tests came back slightly low for me but they had me eating and drinking to get my levels pumping. My little guy has had perfect scores on all his tests so far! So excited! I can’t wait for his siblings to get to meet him tomorrow night or Sunday morning. We will see when they let us out of here. 😁 our family if 5 just became a family of 6 today! 👱🏻♀️👨🏻👧🏻👧🏻👦🏻👶🏻 I’m so in love! 😍
