Lonely child

Earlier I asked my 8 yr old how he is doing.. His response was "I feel lonely" .. I had a talk with him alone in my room to reassure him that I love him and he is as important as the new baby and his other siblings.. I've been holding in my tears all day.. I'm in the bathroom now crying my eyes out because I HATE that he feels that way.. I don't ever want to make my kids feel like they are not loved or wanted.. I'm so freaking sad right now my heart aches so much 😭
