Orgasm

Ok so I know I’m probably the millionth teen girl asking this question out here but how do I know if I’ve orgasmed/what does an orgasm feel like. There’s this moment where it starts building up and up until there’s this great throbbing sort of feeling and then I never really manage to get farther than that. Is that it or is that what comes right before or something? I’ve also only every done hand stuff (by myself and with my boyfriend)
