Advice for first time TTC!

Hey ladies!! So kinda silly question but I want some advice. I had my IUD taken out Oct of 2018 and we have been TTC since. I had a (2 day) period in November and December and then a late week period in January. I haven't taken ovulation tests but how do I know if I'm ovulating without taking tests? I use the Ava bracelet and I know research says to check cervical mucus, but I really don't produce that much cervical mucus, and I feel like I only have two times- sticky, creamy, or watery- I haven't ever seen any "egg white". Advice says to also try sticking a finger in towards your cervix to check but either I barely have any or my fingers are too short 😂😂

Should I just buy ovulation tests??
