Anyone had their cervix stiched during pregnancy??

Are they painful and your experience with it..

I did.  It enabled me to go 10 weeks longer than previous pregnancy before going on bedrest.  I also made it to just about 37 weeks with 2nd pregnancy.   My first was 6 weeks early after I dilated at 20 weeks but it was too late for cerclage at that point.  Procedure itself not painful.  For most it is a very simple solution to cervix issues

The procedure itself is quick and easy, the most painful part is getting an IV. I got it at 19 weeks and it allowed me to go to 24 weeks without being on bed rest.

The doctor put me on bed rest because my cervix began thinning and funneling, but stopped at the stitch. So, so far it's doing its job.

The doctor said that if they hadn't gave me a cerclage, I would have lost my son around 19-22 weeks.

I'm now 25wks3d and my cervix has been holding steady at the stitch, and my baby boy is still baking - very happy with it so far!
