Bad to leave bub in pooey nappy while their asleep?

I’ll hear bub poop as he’s falling asleep and I don’t want to wake him is it bad to leave him until he wake up to change it ? Dint want him to get nappy rash

If he's just falling asleep I always change my LO as I know he could be asleep for 2hrs or more, and I don't want to risk him having nappy rash if I'm awake and can avoid it. He hates being in a wet nappy let alone one he's pooped in, so he'll always start fussing and crying as soon as he's pooped. 
So I'll change then breastfeed him for comfort, and he tends to sleep better that way :)

I would change it, chances are he will eventually wake up anyways as most baby’s don’t want to be in a poo diaper. I change my sons no matter if he’s just fallen asleep or not, I can always get him back to sleep.
