Rock n play and flat heads??

Question

Did the rock n play make your baby’s head get flat in the back? I haven’t delivered yet but really want to get a rock n play. I don’t want the baby to get spoiled from the rock n play and I don’t want it to make his head flat. Have this happened to you or do you know anybody this has happened to?

I’m not a fan of anything like swings or Rock N’ Plays for infants. They can be dangerous for unsupervised sleep (causing suffocation or even positional asphyxia), babies get too used to them and can develop bad sleeping habits, and can absolutely cause flat head syndrome as well as torticollis. I know a lot of parents that use these contraptions and will disagree, but do your own research about them before you decide to purchase one. Babies are only babies for a short time and I firmly believe a baby should be comforted by human touch and not a contraption that moves in order to soothe them. Plus despite the instructions warning of SIDS, parents are still putting their infants in a RNP for unsupervised, overnight sleep. It’s simply a risk I personally would never take.

Mine did but we were able to fix it without a helmet. She had severe reflux and literally would throw up and not sleep u less she was in it. I had her next to me at night in it with an owlet monitor on. Everyone can say whatever until your baby is screaming in pain. It worked for us but we had to rotate her head and once her medicine worked we moved her to bassinet. I wore her a lot and use a flat head pillow if she was play on floor and not on tummy time.

Leaving your baby anywhere on their back long enough will give them a flat head. Just make sure you introduce lots of tummy time or hold them too. And sometimes babies will just get a flat head. Don't feel bad letting them rest in a safe place while you need to get things done.

Mine somewhat did, on one side. But it also screwed up her alignment because their hips get stuck into that position it ended up locking her muscles on the right side her body. 
We had to do physical therapy exercises  to get back to normal and lot more tummy time to get thr flat spot to correct itself.
We were told that we didnt have to avoid it all together but only use it for short periods of time and never as a sleeper (even though its advertised as one). But that was only our experience. Hopefully things will be different with this one.
