Help/Advice please - Early pregnancy tests?

Hi has anyone else contacted a midwife and been told that have used the ”early test” Before you’ve missed a period she told me there’s a chance it could show positive but in the next few days my period could come? It’s worried me as this is my rainbow baby and I’m praying for everything to go right this time. After phone conversation I’ve done an ordinary test which is now also showing a positive result 🌈👶🏼💙💗

When testing early you're more likely to catch a chemical pregnancy. Which is where a fertilized egg doesn't implant properly and gets flushed out with your period. It attaches just enough to get hcg into your system and at times can make af a couple days late. 
I think your midwife is wanting to wait until after your missed period to start care, just in case it turns out that way. So relax, kept testing to make sure the line gets darker and then call her back after your period doesn't start! 🙂 good luck!

Ok thanks, today is second day late and still got positive test. She didn’t mention chemical pregnancy or anything so I felt abit deflated thanks for the explanation, fingers crossed!🤞🏼👶🏼💗💙

Yes, it’s called a chemical pregnancy. That’s why medical providers suggest waiting until 7 days after your missed period for the most accurate result.
