V-Day rant😔

I feel so sad. I don't even get to see my boyfriend on Valentine's day bc I have class until 1 and his parents are leaving around 6 to go on their date... they're making him stay home and watch his 12 year old little brother. I'm so frustrated rn bc I was staying home by myself when I was 12 and if they dont want him to then I dont know why they cant find him another babysitter so he can take me out. So now I get to sit home on Valentine's day by myself. Best first Valentine's day together ever.

Just a thought, couldn’t you help him babysit and maybe include his little sibling? I mean I know alone time is optimal but you could order pizza and play some games at home with him and his brother and that way you’d still get to spend time together.

Why not just celebrate a different day? I'm not understanding what all the fuss is about

Go a different weekday then? Honestly, its pretty common for things to come up on Valentine's day. Just celebrate it a different day rather thats a weekday, weekend, a month from now, whatever. Its literally just a day to celebrate love, it doesnt have to be on that specific day. Itll be okay

We are both in school and I have a very busy weekend so its going to be hard to find a day that we can go out. It's just kind of disappointing honestly when they could easily get a different babysitter instead of sticking us.

Just celebrate the next day or the next day. My husband and I both work Valentine's Day. We both have worked every single Valentine's Day since we got together. No big deal at all. We just celebrate the next day or that following weekend.

My so and I never have celebrated valentine's day on valentine's day at first it was because something always came up but after awhile we just made it our tradition. It always works out all of the valentine's day gift stuff is on sale dirt freaking cheap and the restaurants aren't nearly as crowded. So it's a win win.
