Any ASTHMA sufferers out there?!

I am using like 40 puffs of my inhaler a week and still feel like I am having such a hard time breathing. There are times when it begins to scare me. Talked to my OBGYN and she just recommended me to talk to my PCP. ANY other advice would be greatly appreciated! I’m due Aug 28th with my first baby!

I have asthma, and use Advair about once every other day. I use my inhaler a few times a week when needed. My OB said it’s definitely ok to keep using whatever asthma meds I need while pregnant.

I have asthma. For me, cutting ouall dairy (especially milk)), increasing water, and avoiding other allergins made all the difference. If we can't breathe, baby can't breathe. I also have an EpiPen as well as my rescue inhaler and steroid but I haven't had to use the meds add much when I changed my diet. Hope this helps you too - someone told me and I tried it.

I do feel like I can’t breathe atm but I’ve got a cold so I’m putting it down to that.
It is normal to feel like you can’t breathe as baby is getting bigger inside belly. When I went into labour and started to push I needed my inhaler then, I forgot to bring mine but luckily I was in a hospital and they gave me one.

I had asthma as a child- but it hasn’t been an issue for YEARS. Are any of you in this boat and finding that you are having trouble now?

I have asthma too! I was doing pretty good up until about a week ago and now I am using my albuterol all the time. I really just think I am getting a cold or something so I haven’t been too concerned. This is typical for me if I catch something though. I’m not an essential oil junkie or anything but I have a couple of breathing blends that kinda smell like Vick’s and that helps relieve some of the tightness for me. Not in those emergent cases but when I feel my lungs start to swell up a bit and tighten.

I have asthma and I haven’t used it once this pregnancy. I used it a few times towards the end during my pregnancy with my daughter. I would definitely talk to your PCP. Maybe they can up your inhaler. Are you on advair or however its spelled? Is your inhaler albuterol?
