Uncomfortable

So I had the iud inserted about four months ago  and lately when my so and I have sex I get so uncomfortable bc I feel like he is hitting my birth control. But I'm not even sure if that's what it is or if it's something else. It's just a sharp uncomfortable pain in like my lower stomach. Has this happened to anyone else😕
