Pcos and Clomid

Hello everyone! I was diagnosed with Pcos 6 years ago, but have always had regular cycles. The longest I have been late is about a month, but happens maybe once a year. Dr did blood work last month and showed my hormones were very out of balance. I was put on clomid 50mg days 5-9. I conceived two years ago on my own, but had a miscarriage. Has anyone else been put on clomid with regular cycles?

I was on clomid for 6 months, it didnt work for me. If anything it thinned the lining of my endometrial. I fell pregnant two months after finished with Clomid, unfortunately I misscarried perhaps due to not enough endometrium mm's to support a pregnancy. Since that my partner and I went for an initial ivf consultation where we were strongly advised to try Letrozole before going ahead with ivf, as positive results for women with PCOS who take Letrozole are much higher and apparently it doesn't affect the endometrium the same way Clomid does

Yes my fertility specialist told me regular OBGYN’s tend to prescribe clomid because it’s an older drug and they are unaware of all the new evidence of success and lower side effects with letrozole.
