Would this be rude?

So me and my husband bought our first house about two years ago. It’s just a single wide trailer. We had white carpet in the living room and we have dogs. So of course we ended up pulling it up because it was disgusting. We were in the process of getting new floors. Well his mom surprised us with new flooring for Christmas. However,it was left over flooring from her home. Which is no big deal,beside the fact it sat in her shed and got put in really bad shape. Not we’re it couldn’t be put down but you can tell it has some rough patches. Well, we’re we have dogs there’s times were they slobber,get water on the floors and it’s just making the floor worse because of the shape it was in. You know how if you put a drink on a cheap table it will bubble up? That’s how my floor is getting. We plan on living here for a few more years once we find something bigger but when we do we want to rent this place out. So I’m in the process of redoing everything in this trailer. And the floor is one of them. And I want to do it soon. But we’re his mom got these floors down for us in 2017,I feel like she might take it to heart? What do y’all think?

I want to go back to carpet because believe it or not I could keep it cleaner then the floor I have now. And plus I’d be getting pet friendly and a darker color so it won’t be noticeable as much....

Should I do it? Or is that mean....
