PICC LINE?

i am going in tomorrow to have a Picc line placed & i am so nervous. I have hyperemesis and ive lost 50 pounds so far. Ill be 15 weeks tomorrow.
I am just so worried about something going wrong the anxiety is AWFUL

My mom had a PICC line when she had cancer. My best advice is get v neck T-shirts, they don’t have to come off to access it.

Praying all goes well for you! I’m so afraid to get a PICC. I started steroids Monday and today the OB pretty much doubled my dose. If this doesn’t work then I will need the PICC.

I’m a nurse and have seen a LOT of picc lines put in! They don’t hurt (according to all my patients) :) you won’t feel much of anything except pressure on your arm when they prep the site. The scariest part is watching them do all the setup and sterile draping and such. You will be just fine though! ☺️

They make showering a pain in the ass. Glad press and seal was a big help to Keep mine covered when I had one. Also, I’m sure they’ll tell you, but if it’s in your arm you can’t lift anything over 5lbs with that arm and no repetitive movements, there’s a blood clot risk. Otherwise you can go about life as usual and hopefully start feeling better. I’m so sorry you’ve had such a rough go of it so far 😔

Omgggg 50 pounds?!? Poor darling!! Do you just feel gross 24/7?? I cannot imagine. 
To get through these last few months you’re already suuuuch a strong mama! You’ve got this PICC line!! 💪🏻
